Malagasy rhythms echoed across the historical neighbourhood of Lapa

Wednesday 16^th July and the neighbourhood of Lapa was where the Bloco Malagasy played their last street show in Rio. The girls started drumming at the top of the famous Selarón steps, continued along the arches of the old aqueduct and finished in front of the Theatre of the City. The passers-by were once again impressed by the young percussionists’ performance.

Le quartier de Lapa a été le lieu de la dernière performance de rue de la Bloco Malagasy à Rio de Janeiro, hier mercredi 16 juillet. Les jeunes femmes ont commencé à jouer au sommet des célèbres escaliers de Selarón, ont poursuivi le long des Arcs du vieil aqueduc pour finir devant le Théâtre de la ville. Les passants ont été une fois de plus impressionnés par la prestation des percussionnistes Malagasy.
