Bloco Malagasy and Didá met and drummed together in Pelourihno

Eight years ago, the director of the NGO Bel Avenir -Jose Luis Guirao- travelled to Brazil to start a social project in Salvador de Bahia. During his stay, he learnt about the Didá project, a bloco formed by women and members of the famous group Olodum, which aimed to promote the role of women in the society . It inspired him to create the Bloco Malagasy in Toliara. Drumming and sharing this story with them was another historical moment of the Bloco Malagasy’s Brazilian Tour.
