The Bloco Malagasy in the neighbourhood of Pelourihno

In the artistic neighbourhood of Pelourihno, Tuesday is the busiest day for the local blocos (percussion bands). On this day they gather in the street to rehearse: the Bloco Malagasy could not miss out on joining them! The group from Madagascar came across Swing Pelo, a popular group of batucada from the city, who they will meet again during the week.

 

 

 Le mardi est le jour le plus chargé pour les blocos (groupes de percussions) du quartier artistique de Pelourihno qui se réunissent dans les rues pour pratiquer ensemble : la Bloco Malagasy ne pouvait pas manquer l’occasion ! Le groupe venu de Madagascar a rencontré le célèbre groupe de batucada Swing Pelo, à la plus grande joie des jeunes femmes Malagasy. Les deux groupes se reverront très certainement au cours de la semaine.
